Elephant Nature Park is a one of a kind place.
Founded by “Lek”, it’s focus is on rescue and rehabilitation rather than shows and tourism. The centre is supported by donations and tourism income where visitors are allowed to observe, feed and bathe the elephants, but not ride them.
In the picture below, this herd of elephants had just finished their lunch and as you can see, the baby elephant was the centre of attention!
If you’re ever in the north of Thailand, do yourself (and the elephants) a favour and spend a day with these beautiful and gentle creatures.
